Backhaul Equipment Market Projected to Reach $9 Billion by 2015

A market report from the Dell'Oro Group projects that mobile backhaul market revenue will reach $9 billion by 2015. As networks throughout the world are upgraded to LTE, availability of sufficient backhaul capacity will be a key enabler to customer experience. The company's research found that the transition to IP technologies is proceeding, and that demand for IP-based routers and switches will continue to grow through 2015, almost doubling the market size of the router and switches segment in the forecast period.
