Rogers Microwave Laminate Allows Higheer Operating Temperatures
Rogers Corporation’s Advanced Circuit Materials Division has introduced its new RO4360G2 microwave laminates that have improved thermal reliability for higher UL Maximum Operating Temperatures (MOTs). The company’s RO4360 laminate, introduced last year, was the first high-Dk RF thermoset laminate, and the high thermal reliability of its next generation (RO4360G2) helps fabricators achieve higher operating temperatures. It has a Dk of 6.15 at 10 GHz, which makes it possible for RF power amplifier designers to meet size and cost reduction targets, reduces finished circuit board size by 20 to 30%, and processes much like FR-4. Typical applications for RO4360G2 laminates are power amplifiers, LNAs, combiners/splitters, patch antennas, and as a replacement material for designs employing LTCC.
