New Line of 20 to 1000 MHz High Power Combiners and Directional Couplers
The company recently expanded its offering of high power combiners and directional couplers to include a new product line supporting a full 20 to 1000 MHz bandwidth. These broadband units are a perfect fit for military and commercial applications alike, as they are all designed for extreme operating conditions. The new low loss 20 to 1000 MHz combiners address power requirements ranging from 10 to 500W CW and tolerate severe power unbalances, while maintaining excellent port-to-port isolation. In addition, the patented circuits significantly reduce the heat generated during operation, allowing smaller package sizes to be utilized. The line of two-way and four-way combiners will tolerate full input failures at rated power and operate over a temperature range of –55 to +85ºC. Their tolerance to input failures insures that the remaining inputs, and thus the amplifier system, may continue in a degraded mode until the system can be properly shut down for maintenance. Units may be supplied RoHS compliant and in non-connectorized packages on a case-by-case basis. The new 20 to 1000 MHz high power dual-directional couplers provide a low loss solution for broadband amplifier manufacturers seeking non-connectorized couplers at the module level or connectorized components at the amplifier output. The new couplers address the same power levels as the company’s combiner products, while the patented structure of these small form factor circuits provides the low loss and extremely flat coupling required of a production circuit or in test and measurement applications. These new dual-directional couplers join the company’s other products supporting multi-octave bandwidths (up to 6 GHz) with low loss and excellent flatness.

Ultra-Wideband Doubler with Integrated Switch Filter Bank
Model SYS2H1324N01X microwave doubler is ideally suited for local oscillator drive into wideband microwave mixers. This doubler utilizes three internally switchable bands: 13.9 to 16.9, 16.9 to 20.5, and 20.5 to 24.9 GHz. Internal high rejection filters allow for 60 dBc suppression of input related harmonics with respect to the output utilizing the potential of a high dynamic range mixer. The 13 dBm minimum output power is sufficient for driving most microwave mixers. This model also incorporates an internal voltage sequencing circuit to prevent damage from loss of negative voltage or improper sequencing. This compact (2 x 4 x .8") unit is designed to operate in most commercial and military environments.

MMIC Band Pass Filter Chip
A new tunable MMIC band pass filter, the HMC899, is ideal for hybrid and microwave integrated circuit (MIC) applications in wideband test and measurement equipment, communication systems and electronic warfare (EW) subsystems to 38 GHz. This analog voltage tuned, solid state MMIC filter is insensitive to environmental conditions, and represents a space saving alternative to mechanically tuned and MEMS based filter solutions. The unit features a user selectable pass band frequency range of 19 and 38 GHz. The 3 dB filter bandwidth is approximately 18%, while the 20 dB bandwidth is approximately 35%. The pass band center frequency of the HMC899 is controlled by an analog tune voltage between 0 and 14V with a tuning speed of 200 ns. The HMC899 exhibits excellent microphonic immunity due to the monolithic design, and provides a dynamically adjustable filtering solution in advanced communications applications.
