IP65-Sealed Waveguide Switches
The AM-WGS series of waveguide switches offer environmental sealing to IP65 standard, enabling them to operate reliably even when subjected to dusty or moist environmental conditions. Primarily aimed at automatic transfer applications in redundancy systems, the switches are particularly suitable for use at civil or military satellite communications ground stations. They are available in a wide range of rectangular waveguide sizes covering microwave frequencies from 2.6 to 40 GHz, typically for applications in the C, X, Ku and Ka bands.

C-Band Additions to Family of Digital Phase Shifters
Two new additions to the company’s family of digital phase shifters for radar, communication and electronic warfare (EW) applications have been released. The phase shifters facilitate easy implementation in communication antennas, phased array radars, weather radars, and EW receivers. The 3.5 to 6.0 GHz GaAs pHEMT 4-Bit and 6-Bit digital phase shifters meet the high performance requirements of communications and radar system manufacturers, optimizing for fast switching speed, low phase error, and serial or parallel control capability. The MAPS-010145 is a 4-Bit digital phase shifter housed in a 4mm 24-lead PQFN package. It provides 360º phase shift range with a step size of 22.5º. It is controlled with a single +5.0V serial or parallel control line. Its insertion loss is 5.0 dB, with a low +/-1.0 dB attenuation variation and +/-2.5º phase accuracy over the 3.5 to 6.0 GHz frequency range. The MAPS-010165 is a 6-Bit digital phase shifter housed in a 4mm 24-lead PQFN package. It provides 360º phase shift range with a step size of 5.625º. It is controlled with a single +5.0V serial or parallel control line. Insertion loss is 5.0 dB, with a low +/-0.8 dB attenuation variation and +/-5.2º phase accuracy over the 3.5 to 6.0 GHz frequency range.

Sapphire Optics for Submersible and AUV Applications
Custom fabricated sapphire optics that can withstand salt water and high pressure for use in military submersible applications can be manufactured to specification up to 1" thick with mounting holes, slots, wedges, special edge treatments, and more. Ideal for installation in submersible and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), sapphire optics are impervious to salt water and can withstand up to 10,000 psi, depending upon aspect ratio and mounting technique. Available in round and rectangular configurations, they can be fabricated as lenses, windows, and viewports from ¼ to 10" diameter and 1/2mm to 1" thick with or without A/R coatings. Featuring Moh 9 hardness, second only to diamond, windows can be fabricated with flatness held to 0.5 fringes of HeNe and parallelism from 20 to 2 arc/secs.

High Current D, Single and Three Phase AC Filters
A new product line of high current DC, single and three phase AC filters for applications requiring higher common mode attenuation has been released. Unlike standard high current off the shelf filters, these high performance, dual stage AC and DC filters were designed with much higher inductance common mode coils to reduce excessive common mode emissions generated by high power SCRs (Silicon-Controlled Rectifiers), and meet the stringent attenuation requirements of nuclear power stations and MIL-STD-461F. These filters are ideal for military, heavy industrial and commercial applications, nuclear power stations, alternative power sources and generators.
