50 W Communications Testing Amplifier

The MPA-6G-18G-50 is a wideband instrumentation amplifier for communications testing that delivers saturated power of 50 W between 6 and 18 GHz with small signal gain of 50 dB, maximum RF input power of +3 dBm, second harmonic power of -15 dBc, and spurious rejection of -65 dB. It employs GaN amplifier modules that provide high linearity, integrated protection circuitry, and variable gain adjustment up to 20 dB. After burn-in and ageing, each amplifier is tested using a state-of-the-art vector-receiver measurement system allowing independent measurement of power at the fundamental, harmonic, and intermodulation frequencies using single-tone and two-tone input signals, as well as ACPR using wideband modulated signals.
