Ruggedized SMA Bulkhead Cable Assemblies
Pre-configured SMA options for the company’s bulkhead cable assemblies support applications that require a more ruggedized, waterproof solution. They use a bulkhead jack on one end that is IP67 rated for both mated and unmated conditions and are designed for use with RG-316 flexible cable. The SMA cable assemblies receiving this treatment operate up to 3 GHz and are manufactured using gold-plated brass bodies with gold-plated beryllium copper contacts and are available in straight or right-angle plug-two-jack configurations. The SMA interface uses a coupling mechanism that ensures secure mating and vibration resistance. Target applications include industrial IoT and defense markets as well as any other application in which the ability to operate in environmentally and operationally hostile conditions is necessary.
