Larger capacitors respond well to DC-type signals while smaller ones capacitors have much higher frequency response These capacitors are intended primarily for coupling RF signals or, occasionally, for bypassing them to ground, while blocking DC. The applications for which they are intended require small, surface-mountable devices that provide low RF impedance for low insertion loss and reflections across very wide RF bandwidths and temperatures typically ranging from -55° to +125° C. They can be used for bypass, coupling, tuning, impedance matching, or DC blocking. They meet the requirements for MIL-PRF-55681 and MIL-PRF-123 and are available with magnetic, non-magnetic, and tin/lead terminations. Working voltages are as high as 7.2 kV.
