Battery-free Bluetooth Beacon

This beaconing platform, developed for designing battery-free long-range wireless IoT sensor networks, uses only microwatts of DC power and relies on RF-to-DC power harvesting. The platform is a collaboration between Powercast and InPlay and serves retail, medical, warehousing, and industrial IoT markets. The solution provides a range up to at least 120 ft. The sensors can be attached to virtually anything to allow real-time location monitoring while measuring metrics such as light, humidity, and temperature.
