4 Channel Switched Filter Bank
These combline filters are integrated with PIN diode switches to produce an X-band/Ku-band band switched filter bank. The extremely fast switching speed of 1 µs is TTL controlled via external pins. The frequency range is 6 to 20 GHz, and insertion loss is 7.5 dB, isolation is at least 60 dB. Supply voltage +5 VDC at 100 mA and the enclosure measures 0.45 x 2.7 x 4.5 in. The use of internal channelization also allows for optimum rejection and isolation. Since all the components are integrated into a single module, switched filter banks are compact and save a considerable amount of board space. They are widely used through defense RF electronic systems to switch-in specific frequencies at high speed that is especially useful for EW and SIGINT applications.
