The Model 1414-2500 solid-state RF source operates from 960 MHz to 1215 MHz and is designed for avionics testing, including TACAN, DME, and IFF, and can generate 2.5 KW of RF power. When operated in the TACAN mode, it produces a Gaussian type or custom waveform in accordance with MIL-STD-291. When operated in the IFF mode, the unit generates 2 or 4 pulses at 1030/1090 MHz depending on the mode of operation. An SLS mode produces three pulses with one variable between -12 dB and +3 dB relative to pulses 1 and 3. The system has a 7 inch display that responds to commands entered via a front panel keyboard. The unit is equipped with a precision internal frequency source, 24 dB attenuator, rear panel RF monitor port, and interactive display.
