Absorber Materials
C-RAM SFC-HC is a series of high-power pyramidal absorbers made from specially treated plastic honeycomb. C-RAM SFC-HC provides premium performance in anechoic chambers at normal and off-normal incidence angles using a pyramidal design that provides an impedance gradient. Chambers can be designed to meet custom specifications, and an entire kit of materials is supplied, including factory pre-cuts of unique fitting parts. All materials can be installed, or technical support can be provided to complete the installation. Custom sizes from 48″ to 72″ high are made in two or three sections with several polymer threaded rods that are 1/8″ in diameter using a polymer washer and nuts. The honeycomb absorber pieces are generally installed in a chamber using mechanical fasteners. In small test boxes, the absorbers can be cut slightly oversize and press-fit into place.
