Dielectric Resonator Oscillators

Dielectric resonators work well as an oscillator’s frequency-determining element, producing signals with excellent signal stability, high Q, and very low phase noise. The DRO-1080 series DROs have hermetically sealed Kovar packages that comply with MIL-PRF-38534, ASA, ESA, JAXA, ISRO, CNSA, and RFSA standards. The DRO-1080 operates from 1 to 18 GHz, and the DRO-1087 operates from 18 to 36 GHz. The tuning range is +/-2 MHz with voltage tuning optional, and the RF power output is +13 dBm. Harmonic suppression is -25 dBc, spurious suppression is -85 dBc, and SSB phase noise is -90 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset at 10 GHz. The DRO has an operating temperature of -40° C to +85° C and meets the environmental requirements of MIL-STD-883 Methods 2002, 2001, and 2026.
