E-band Power Amplifier Module
The Taurus 16 is an RF amplifier (PA) operates in E-band from 81 to 86 GHz, provides saturated output power of 6.3 W with a small signal gain of 21 dB, and has a bandwidth of 5 GHz. This amplifier includes two Cerus 8 E-band amplifier modules, each with GaAs pHEMT PA MMICs. It has an integrated temperature sensor to provide accurate amplifier temperature data, and functions such as mute control and alarms are available. The Taurus 16 supports 256 QAM modulation schemes and exhibits high linearity during operation. It requires a DC supply of 48 V and consumes less than 2.2 A of current. This amplifier is available in a module that measures 111 x 81 x 40 mm with WR-12 waveguide interfaces and is ideal for commercial and military applications.
