The 6531 dual-mode pulse/CW TWT amplifier produces an RF output of 40 W from 18 to 26.5 GHz. The output pulse is generated by the focus electrode pulse, and CW operation can be selected by a discrete signal or by +5 VDC on the pulse input terminal. Internal power supplies use DC-to-DC converters with fast loop response times to minimize output level variations.
