The IMPW is an intercom system that uses wireless technology to provide near-lag-free audio. It is also useful for other applications, such as law enforcement and public safety. The intercom makes it easy for troops to maintain and share situational awareness within a group, vehicle, or vessel and in the vicinity. Complete radio silence is achieved by turning off the base station without turning off user devices. The wireless connection uses AES-256 encryption, can cover a line-of-sight range of up to 200 meters, and operates in full duplex or push-to-talk mode. Latency is 50 ms or less, and battery life is up to 30 hr. The IMPW is a valuable tool for military personnel, allowing them to communicate efficiently in many situations.
