The SKU 1222 is a Class AB 9 to 10 GHz amplifier that can deliver up to 250 W peak output power and uses GaN-on-SiC transistors. It provides control via a RS-485 serial interface, has monitoring functions, and is suited for pulsed modulation with pulse widths from 500 ns to 500 µs and a duty cycle up to 20%. It can handle an RF input power of -6 dBm, has gain of 60 dB +/-3 dB, and a gain adjustment range of 15 dB in 0.5 dB steps. Input return loss is -10 dB, noise figure is 20 dB, and spurious signal suppression is -60 dBc. Second harmonics are suppressed by -20 dB and third harmonics by -20 dB. The amplifier operates from 48 VDC supply and draws 20 A. The amplifier’s enable/disable time is 250 ns.
